ABOUT
EAMT 2027 in Barcelona!
The European Association for Machine Translation (EAMT) will hold its 2027 annual conference in Barcelona. As the European branch of the International Association for Machine Translation (IAMT)—working alongside sister organizations in the Americas (AMTA) and the Asia-Pacific region (AAMTA)—the EAMT brings together academic researchers, software developers, corporate users, and translation professionals to share research findings and discuss translation technology.
The four-day conference begins with three days focused on the main program, organized into four parallel tracks. The Research and Technical Track covers machine translation architectures, neural models, and automated quality evaluation. The Research for Translators and Users Track examines human-computer interaction, post-editing workflows, and the practical impact of technology on professional linguists. The Implementations and Case Studies Track addresses real-world enterprise deployments, productivity metrics, and data privacy considerations. Finally, the Products and Projects Track features live software demonstrations, commercial tools, open-source applications, and updates from funded research initiatives.
The fourth and final day of the conference is dedicated entirely to workshops and tutorials. This concluding day offers attendees a chance to participate in hands-on training and focused discussions on specialized topics, such as low-resource language processing, domain adaptation, and the practical integration of large language models into commercial translation workflows.
